National Geographic uses WebWare ActiveMedia
National Geographic Channels International (NGCI), a business enterprise of National Geographic Television & Film, Fox Entertainment Group, and National Broadcasting Corporation (NBC), has adopted WebWare ActiveMedia digital asset management software to aid global sales, marketing and syndication efforts of its television assets.
The WebWare ActiveMedia digital asset management software enables any office to be the creative hub and distribution point for marketing materials on behalf of the global group.
ActiveMedia, a Web services-based digital asset management system, is designed to help NGCI deliver materials to its 29 international offices. NGCI reaches more than 160 million households in 144 countries and in 25 languages.
ActiveMedia allows National Geographic to upload promotional and programming content, such as stills, video, and scripts, into a secure, central repository. The system enables any office to be the creative hub and distribution point for marketing materials on behalf of the global group. Access and usage rights are fully controlled by NGCI headquarters in Washington, D.C.
The WebWare ActiveMedia Platform enables companies to manage, share, reuse, and distribute rich media content. ActiveMedia can scale to meet the needs of small organizations or large enterprises, and is available as installed software or as a fully hosted solution.
