NBA All Star Game in HD
This weekend will see the first HD broadcast of the NBA All-Star Game, to be carried on certain Comcast digital cable systems as well as DirecTV. The game is scheduled for 8 p.m., Feb 9. In addition, the All-Star Saturday Night Activities will be shown in HD starting at 8:00 p.m.
DirecTV will offer the programs in a joint production of TNT and NBA TV, the league's 24-hour DTV network. The weekend telecasts are available on DirecTV channel 198.
Comcast subscribers with access to its HD service in the Maryland/Delaware Region can access the programming on channel 194. The company previously offered Super Bowl XXXVII in HD. Comcast serves over 21 million customers, including more than 770,000 in Maryland and Delaware.
