NBA Digital Taps NewTek TriCaster for All-Star Jam
NBA Digital has selected NewTek TriCaster portable live production system to produce fan fantasy NBA TV sportscaster segments during the NBA All-Star Jam Session at the Phoenix Convention Center, Feb. 12–16. NewTek will also demo multichannel, HD, instant replay device at NBA D-League practice Feb. 13.
The sportscaster segments intersperse fan play-by-play with commentary from network personalities Ahmad Rashad and Gary Payton who appear on NBA TV’s studio show “GameTime” every Tuesday night. Fans can view their performances online.
NewTek will also demonstrate 3PLAY multichannel, HD, instant replay and slow motion system live from a NBA Development League (NBA D-League) practice during NBA All-Star Week. The presentation, which includes shots of the NBA D-League practice and interviews from NewTek and NBA executives, will be streamed using TriCaster.
