NEP Selects Calrec consoles for mobile HD trucks
NEP Broadcasting, based in Pittsburgh, PA, has purchased two 72-fader Alpha digital audio consoles from Calrec for its SS25 and ND3HD mobile trucks. The new units are being used for live coverage of golf, auto-racing, and, soon, NFL games. With the two new units, NEP's fleet now has a total of four Alpha consoles.
Every Calrec digital console is assignable, enabling direct access to the majority of its functions while minimizing screen usage. In addition, many of the panels between its Sigma and Alpha consoles are interchangeable, making complex mobile broadcasting operations a smooth process.
In addition to the four Alphas, NEP owns one Sigma digital console, one C2 analog console, six S2 analog consoles, five Q2 analog consoles, and one T Series digitally controlled analog console. Five of NEP's eight HD units and 11 of its 18 SD units have Calrec consoles on board.
