NEP Sharpshooters Provides Coverage of ESPN Summer X-Games
The Pittsburgh-based mobile production company NEP Sharpshooters is providing television coverage of this year’s ESPN Summer X-Games from the Staples Center in Los Angeles and also at the The Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif. The games run from July 31 through August 3.
NEP Sharpshooters has dispatched three high-definition production trucks for the event coverage and will be using a variety of Thomson Grass Valley gear to air the games in 720p video.
The three production vehicles are equipped with Kalypso switchers. NEP Sharpshooters will be using a mix of Thomson Grass Valley LDK 6000 mkII Worldcam and LDK 8000 high-definition cameras for game coverage. A total of 40 cameras are being deployed. One of the trucks is also equipped with a Thomson Grass Valley Trinix router.
Game coverage will be broadcast live on both ESPN and ABC.
