Network Electronics acquires Video Products Group
Norway-based Network Electronics has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Video Products Group of Oxnard, CA. No financial details were provided, but the transaction is expected to close in January 2008.
Video Products Group provides professional video/audio transport systems for local and wide area networks. The company employs approximately 60 people worldwide.
Company representatives said the acquisition will help Network Electronics to better serve the telco and broadcast markets and enable customers to build complete video transport systems from a single source. Broadcasters and carriers will use the combined, end-to-end suite of video transport products to build intrafacility networks and long distance contribution, production and content distribution networks over IP, SDH/SONET and CWDM and DWDM infrastructures.
