Network Electronics Aids Broadcast of Utah Governor's Inauguration
Fiber optic transport technology from Network Electronics was used to transmit the broadcast signals for the Utah gubernatorial inauguration last month.
The Network Electronics Flashlink system ensured that the broadcast signals arrived to Salt Lake City broadcasters during Utah Governor John Huntsman Jr.'s Jan. 3 swearing-in ceremony. The system's optical modules were installed at the ends of a fiber strand transporting video and audio signals from the inauguration site to an uplink facility in Salt Lake City.
The installed system included several 2-channal analog audio multiplexers and de-multiplexers, analog to digital video SDI converters and digital to analog SDI converters.
