Networks answer questions about digital TV

On Oct. 4, viewers will only have to log onto one Web site to find digital signals and HDTV programming in their area.

Next month, broadcast-data company Decisionmark will launch www.checkhd.com. The Web site will feature links to local grids for broadcast, cable and satellite digital and HD programming.

The site will also answer questions about digital TV, provide information about the equipment needed, and include a Consumer Electronics introduction to digital television.

Broadcast networks, consumer electronics companies and the NAB are co-sponsoring the site.
