Neural Supplies Audio For HD NCAA Basketball
By TVTechnology
published Neural Audio teamed up with CBS to provide its surround sound technology for 5.1 audio in 12 HDTV CBS games during the 2003 NCAA Men's Basketball Championship, including the Final Four.
According to Neural, its SECA (Sports Event Capture Array) system, operating with only one array located behind each basket, is the industry's only expert system that can deliver 5.1 to consumers over a stereo backbone, merging court action, announcer and crowd audio in one perfect perceptual window.
Seattle-based Neural Audio has also partnered with Harris' Broadcast Communications Division for digital product development.
