Citi Field, the new and as yet unfinished home of Major League Baseball’s New York Mets, will get about 12,000sq ft of integrated scoring and video display from Daktronics in preparation for the team’s opening game in 2009.
Installation is to begin this spring and is expected to by complete by August 2008. The system will incorporate multiple HD video boards, one of the country’s largest scoreboards, large-screen LED video displays, Daktronics’ ProAd LED fascia display technology, and numerous other displays throughout the new, world-class facility.
The new system will incorporate the company’s latest HD-X video technology in various locations, along with other video, scoring and messaging components throughout the ballpark. HD-X technology, with more than 1200 lines of resolution, will provide video displays on both the front and back of the main scoreboard.
The towering main scoreboard in centerfield will incorporate three video displays to show live action and instant replays, as well as line scores and other information.
