Echolab Corporation has announced the opening of its new Singapore office, Echolab PTE Ltd. Under the leadership of Aniket Rangnekar, regional sales and support manager - Asia, the office will strengthen Echolab's ability to meet the high global demand for its products, as evidenced in 2007, with 100 percent growth of the company's international sales.
"Echolab switcher products have been adopted worldwide at a rapid pace, and Echolab PTE Ltd. will provide a localized sales and support center for our growing client base in the Asia-Pacific region," said Echolab president Nigel Spratling. "Aniket is a seasoned broadcast professional with a comprehensive technical skill set and expertise in broadcast system integration, process modeling, and improvement. We're confident that his practical and technical knowledge of the industry and familiarity with the Asian market will be enormously valuable as we continue to extend the reach and penetration of Echolab products across the globe."
Prior to joining Echolab, Rangnekar was an application engineer, demo artist, and trainer for Benchmark Systems Singapore. In this role, he provided engineering, installation, and training services for a variety of broadcast hardware and software systems for clients throughout Southeast Asia. He earlier acted in a similar role as a support engineer and demo artist at Cinecita Comoptronics, Mumbai, performing installations for clients including Doordarshan India and Taj Television at Dubai Media City.
Rangnekar previously led post-production at Eternal Dreams India, where he designed the complete workflow and on-air packaging for two regional channels. He also worked as technical supervisor for HFCL and Nine Network Australia, taking the channels to air. Rangnekar has also served as technical manager and chief editor at Galaxy Multimedia and at B.R. Ads Video Division, and as an editor for Sony Entertainment Television, one of the leading entertainment channels in the Indian television industry.
