ACC grants Raycom/JP Sports television syndication rights
The Atlantic Coast Conference has reached an agreement with Jefferson-Pilot Sports and Raycom Sports awarding Raycom/JP Sports the television syndication rights for ACC football throughout 2010.
The agreement is for seven years beginning with this year’s football season. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

NHL cuts deal with ESPN, NBC Universal Sports for television
The NHL has awarded a new three-year deal to ESPN for coverage of the hockey league on cable television.
Under the contract, ESPN will pay the league $60 million to carry 2004-05 season games on its ESPN2 network. The network will pay the league $70 million per season for the remaining two years of the contract. Under the current contract, the network was paying the NHL $120 million per season.
The NHL also granted NBC Universal Sports broadcast rights to certain regular season, playoff and Stanley Cup games next season. NBC will pay no cash for the rights and will cover its expenses with commercial sales. NBC replaces ABC as hockey’s broadcast home.
Gonzaga awards FOX Sports Net, KHQ-TV television rights for men’s hoops
FOX Sports Net and KHQ-TV in Spokane, WA, have been awarded television rights to Gonzaga University men’s basketball regular-season home and away games.
The deal, which lasts for four seasons with two two-year extensions as options, will bring Bulldog hoops to Pacific Northwest viewers.

ABC Sports, ESPN to televise Indy 500 through 2009
ABC Sports and ESPN will televise the Indianapolis 500 and the Indy Racing League through 2009. The existing contract lasted through 2007.
FOX Sports International extends agreement with soccer league
FOX Sports International and the FA Premier League of England (FAPL) have reached an agreement to extend coverage of the soccer league on FOX Sports World.
Under the agreement, FOX Sports World retains the North American television rights to all FAPL matches through the 2006/2007 season. The FAPL made its North American television debut on FOX Sports World in 1998. Under its new agreement, FOX Sports World will add between 12 and 18 live games on Saturday.
