Nexstar Taps AZCAR for Digital Conversion

published AZCAR has been selected to help convert 29 Nexstar television stations from analog to digital.
A master planning document is in the works and should be complete by March 2005. Later next year, seven stations in the top 100 U.S. markets should be converted.
Ontario-based AZCAR has subcontracted structural components, from strengthening towers to adding new digital transmission support to the Morrison Hershfield Corp., an Atlanta-based engineering consulting company.
"Conversion of our stations to full power digital transmission is a major and pressing undertaking for Nexstar," said Perry Sook, president and CEO of Nexstar.
