NFL Mobile Live to kick off ‘Thursday Night Football’ Nov. 6
Signifying a possible direction for mobile TV's eventual divergence from conventional TV, NFL/Sprint Mobile NFL's upcoming “Thursday Night Football” interactive programming engages viewers through their interests in particular teams, players and events.
For instance, a viewer can select a favorite team. Then, when accessing NFL Mobile Live, that team’s latest information will come up on an upfront screen, including quick links to that day’s live games, and viewers will be sent directly to the content that interests them. That’s in addition to live broadcasts of all eight “Thursday Night Football” broadcasts, live radio broadcasts of every 2008 season game and pre-game and post-game reports.
NFL Mobile Live lets "fantasy owners" easily track every player directly from their phones for real-time game and season cumulative stats, rankings, player profiles and photos. And for the first time, fans will be able to watch video highlights for some players via a link on the player's main page; player highlights will vary week to week.
Fans will still have season-long live access to NFL Network's non-game programming like training-camp reports and previews for every team along with the popular “NFL Total Access,” “NFL GameDay” and “NFL Playbook” programs. Also available will be the latest training camp news, analyses from NFL.com's experts, and weekly top play video highlights.
NFL Mobile Live is included free in Sprint's Everything plan. With other Sprint plans, customers can get NFL Mobile Live by adding a data pack.
