‘NFL on CBS’ takes control of on-set LED wall
The set for the 2006-2007 edition of the “NFL on CBS” features an LED wall in the background that’s driven by a pair of Vista System Spyders.
The network is using the Spyder 380 and 204 and software from the company to control the display of game clips and other video feeds as well as animations, stats and other graphics on the LED wall. The CBS Spyder application supports an upstream Leitch HD-SDI router for access to any source required for display.
The Spyder is a real-time video processor that can mix a wide variety of sources in multiple windows. It can display picture-in-picture images with a variety of border treatments.
After seeing the system at NAB2006 and a demo at the network’s New York City headquarters, CBS selected the video processor for use during this season’s NFL coverage.
