Omnibus to preview iTV v1.2 at IBC
Omnibus will show the current version of the iTX master control and automation application at IBC2007. Version 1.1 features include advanced real-time 3-D graphics options for news and live graphics transmission applications; multiple audio tracks for multilanguage applications; open and closed captions; HD ingest; support for a wide range of formats including IMX, XDCAM HD, MXF and GXF; surround-sound capability; and live instant playback for news, sports and entertainment programs.
In addition, the company will preview version 1.2 of iTX, slated for release Q4 2007, which features further developments for news and sports playout, enhanced video effects and real-time video processing. This version also includes the ability to control subchannels for schedules with regional variations.
Omnibus will also debut OPUS Smart Client. This platform-independent application provides a rich-media interface to OPUS systems from any Web browser. Based on Microsoft Silverlight technology, it allows users to search and view media, annotate, create keyframes and shotlists, and work collaboratively from their desktop PC or Mac without the installation of any additional software.
