By TVTechnology
published OmniBus Systems will introduce four new automation products at this year's NAB, including TXPlay transmission automation, G3 Colossus control, N+1 Failover Redundancy and Headline news editor.
TXPlay is a scalable system for facilities operating from one to eight channels, complementing OmniBus' Colossus large-scale multichannel transmission automation.
G3 technology is fully compatible with existing OmniBus solutions. With the addition of G3 tools a broadcaster's original investment in OmniBus technology is enhanced. OmniBus’s new products taking advantage of the G3 are:
- TXPlay is a scalable system for facilities operating from one to eight channels, complementing OmniBus' Colossus large-scale multichannel transmission automation.
- G3 Colossus Control provides an unprecedented level of configurability and operator control in multichannel environments. Combining multiple timeline, schedule grid, and event-detail views on a single or dual high-resolution display, G3 Colossus Control allows a single operator to monitor and control up to 32 channels from a single workstation.
- N+1 Failover Redundancy for Colossus and TxPlay. Transmission automation systems from OmniBus now include a redundancy feature for multichannel operations. With N+1 Failover, one channel in a multichannel operation can be designated as a backup channel.
- Headline Media Editor, a multi-format desktop editing system featuring support for Windows Media 9 Series, MPEG-1 and MPEG-2.
