OmniTek launches new monitoring standard at IBC
At IBC2006 (stand 6.329), test and measurement company OmniTek has announced the OmniTek TQ, a broadcast video and audio signal monitoring system.
For the first time, high-resolution waveform and vector scope displays are integrated with comprehensive audio monitoring capabilities (including Dolby), teletext and closed caption decoding, error logging, A/V delay measurement and macroblock detection, the company said. All are contained in a single package with touch-screen controls.
Targeted to broadcasters, OmniTek said the TQ implements a wide range of features specifically requested by various broadcast customers, including waveforms, display of 16 channels of audio metering, analog output of 2 audio channels, teletext subtitling and full-resolution (SD) video display, all on one monitor. The unit is optimized for day-to-day use without requiring a mouse and keyboard.
