Open Text, provider of Artesia digital asset management (DAM) software, announced the completion of its acquisition of Hummingbird Enterprises. The combined companies are now the world’s largest independent provider of enterprise content management (ECM) software.
Under the Open Text name, the company said it was combining the ECM expertise, the solutions and the partners of both companies to help its customers solve the problems of managing information in large organizations.
Open Text said Hummingbird’s RedDot Solutions would be maintained as part of a comprehensive Web content management strategy. The company also said that it would introduce several new product initiatives during the next few weeks and a product roadmap in November.
The combined company now offers an expanded portfolio of solutions aimed at a wide range of vertical markets, including media and entertainment. Artesia DAM software provides a single access point for digital media and its underlying metadata information.
