Orange TV chooses ON-AIR central automation
Orange TV, in Orange County, FL, has purchased two broadcast automation systems from ON-AIR Systems for its new playout facility. One system will be used for Vision TV, a new 24-hour arts infochannel that covers a wide selection of program types. Vision TV can be seen on cable, PBS and streamed over the Internet. The second system will replace an outdated video server.
The channel has purchased two media ingest software modules, two Studio playout management modules, an ON-AIR InfoChannel system with multi-graphics overlays and direct feed management software, and media asset management and reporting modules.
The technology will be integrated to form two complete all-digital broadcast solutions that will automate every process of the playout workflow from ingest to transmission. Finished programs will be sent to the server from where they will be loaded automatically into the ON-AIR Central system and readied for scheduling and playout.
