Ortus Media, an IDX Technology Group company that distributes broadcast video equipment, has appointed Mike Gibbs as sales manager for the UK and Ireland.
Operating from the new Langley, England, headquarters, Gibbs now heads up the Ortus Media sales team.
Gibbs brings more than 23 years of film and television industry experience to the job, most recently working with Ortus Media in a sales capacity since the company's launch in April, 2006. Prior to that he was involved with sales at IDX Technology for three years. Earlier experience was gained at JVC Professional, Feltech and Filmatic Laboratories.
"I want to remain active at the front line of sales", said Gibbs. "Ortus media has got off to a good start with a very successful first year. We can build on that in the next year by developing sales further. IDX has continued to grow but there is still room for more business especially in the rental and broadcast sectors. I am also looking to add more top products to the Ortus range".
