Pacific Coliseum installs new HD video boards
Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver, British Columbia, has upgraded it's video boards.
The new system, consisting of a four-sided scoreboard hung in the center of the coliseum, will include Daktronics LED video displays, custom hockey scoreboards and backlit sponsor advertisement panels.
Daktronics HD-ready video technology uses RGB LED technology to present live and recorded video images, colorful animation and vivid graphics with high brightness and wide-angle visibility.
Daktronics’ Canadian products dealer Centaur Products played a large role in the sale of this integrated system.
The scoreboard was operational for the 2007 Memorial Cup Hockey Tournament and will be prominent in setting the atmosphere for the 2008 BMO Canadian Figure Skating Championships and the 2010 Winter Olympics. The Vancouver Giants junior hockey team also plays its home games at the Coliseum.
