Panasonic Promotes Plasma
Following in the footsteps of other companies that have led HD-centric tours of high-end American retail outlets in the past couple of years, Panasonic kicked off its own multi-city tour last weekend to promote its line of plasma HD models with an initial stop at Tyson's Corner Center Mall outside Washington, D.C.
The Panasonic Plasma Tour features the company's 103-inch plasma monitor and other displays in a series of "home environment vignettes," including its 37-, 42-, 50-, and 58-inch units, as well as its recently launched 1080p 65-inch flat panel.
The 10-stop tour will run through January--thus, spanning the entire holiday selling season. Other tour sites include Chicago, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Miami, Minneapolis/St. Paul, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco and Seattle. Panasonic said additional stops could be added later.
