Displaying very bright images, the compact 8.4-inch monitor, which can be mounted on the camera, is designed to produce exceptional color reproduction and gradation during field production. With support for 16:9 and 4:3 images, it is designed to work with Panasonic’s AJ-HDC27 VariCam HD Cinema camera and the SDX900 DVCPRO SD camera.
The LCD display’s unique CineGamma correction circuit provides accurate in-field exposure when pre-viewing the low-contrast “FilmRec” mode of the VariCam, and its built-in waveform monitor overlay permits easy video level monitoring.
The monitor offers a wide viewing angle of 170 degrees horizontally and vertically, and can display 1080/24PsF, 1080i, 720P, 576i, 576i and 480i video format inputs. It can be 12-volt DC-powered, provides two SDI inputs (auto HD/SD detection), and has component/composite inputs for easy SD field monitoring.
