Paragon Studios, an audio post-production studio in Franklin, TN, has expanded its broadcast television recording studio capabilities with the addition of a Digidesign D-Command ES Console. As an upgrade to Paragon’s Studio C, the D-Command ES console is linked to the company’s in-house Pro Tools|HD system to deliver tighter hands-on Pro Tools control.
From recording, editing and music mixing to sound design, ADR and predubbing, the D-Command console offers flexibility and the ability to customize projects. In addition to its Pro Tools functionality, it features dedicated center-section panels for EQ and dynamics plug-in editing, and per-channel control over many processing tasks, routing and automation modes.
In order to make the studio more functional for its staff as well as for clients, Paragon’s Studio C will also get more recording elements, inside racks, a new patch bay, outputs, a producer’s desk and single processing gear. The room is configured for 5.1 and will feature upgraded HD picture playback options. A custom-made Argosy desk along with Argosy racks will complete the upgrade.
