PBS station selects Leitch's AgileVision system
WHMT is the latest PBS station to select Leitch's AgileVision MPEG master control switcher/server system. The New York television station is the only full-service public broadcaster serving eastern New York and Western New England.
Leitch's Agilevision MPEG master control switcher/server system.
Leitch’s AgileVision system includes HD and SD splicing, logo overlays, and rate control – all while remaining in the compressed domain. The AgileVision system also provides integrated MPEG-2 real-time encoders and high-capacity, redundant storage all in the same rackmounted unit. With additional PSIP generation, datacasting services multiplexing, and industry-standard automation/control features, the AgileVision system is on-air-ready.
In other Leitch news, version 8.1 of Leitch's dpsVelocity dual-stream non-linear editing system is now available.
dpsVelocity 8.1 includes features such as real-time “garbage mattes,” two-camera editing, real-time support for video files with alpha channel and an array of flexible user interface updates including customizable hotkeys and user-selectable A/X/B or single-track timeline modes.
dpsVelocity’s two-camera editing feature enhanced support for transitions in multi-cam editing mode and interactive multi-cam editing while scrubbing faster than real-time, enabling multi-camera productions to be edited faster than ever before.
dpsVelocity 8.1 also adds full project file compatibility with Leitch’s dpsVelocityQ multi-stream NLE. Combined with the existing media file compatibility between dpsVelocity and dpsVelocityQ, complete projects can now be interchanged seamlessly between the two platforms.
