Plazamedia, the German Sports and Media Production group, has chosen Pebble Beach's Neptune system to automate its batch ingest facilities.
Plazamedia's Munich-based eCenter provides archiving and tapeless production services to its customers, using Media Archive from Blue Order. For larger batch processing applications, the new Neptune system will work in conjunction with Media Archive, to provide control of VTRs, Sony cart machines and video servers. The two systems will form the basis of an end-to-end integrated workflow for Plazamedia.
The project represents the second such collaboration between Pebble Beach Systems and Blue Order; the first being an installation at YLE in Finland.
