PESA Acquires Technology from TDM
Adding to its lineup of routing products, Melville, N.Y.-based PESA Switching Systems Inc. acquired the TDM line of audio router technology from the former Lighthouse Digital Systems on Grass Valley, Calif.
"The OZ TDM router, currently in use throughout the world, is a great complement to the PESA SD/HD Cheetah routing switcher," said Miguel Moraga, president of PESA. "The OZ will interface with the PESA WIN 3500 control system, providing a transition path for existing customers, and [will be] a solution for space-sensitive installations such as mobile trucks, broadcasters and post-production houses.
The TDM multiplexing technology in the OZ performs synchronous AES audio switching, allows left-right breakaway of the AES audio stream, offers analog audio inputs and outputs and can route signals between analog and digital formats.
OZ products will be manufactured in PESA's facility in Huntsville, Ala.
