After a three-year collaboration with Panasonic and Apple, Pinnacle Systems has made available its CineWave 4.6 with multi-stream real-time editing and effects for Panasonic's DVCPRO HD (DV100) format. Version 4.6 offers simultaneous HD and SD video outputs, and support for undercrank and overcrank with Panasonic's VariCam progressive scan, variable frame rate HD camcorder. Additionally, the capture and transcode of popular HD formats and frame rates to DV100 from older HD decks and devices is supported.
"The additional format conversion capabilities, variable frame rate implementation and real-time pan and scan of CineWave 4.6 play a vital role in enhancing the workflow of Final Cut Pro HD with DVCPRO HD and other high definition recorders, such as D-5 HD. As a result, the full efficiency of editing with DV 100 Mb/s HD compression can be extended to an even larger group of customers in the content creation industry," said the vice president of marketing for Panasonic Broadcast and Television Systems Co.
