Pinnacle Snags $3M Order with Global Television Network

published Canada's Global Television Network has signed a $3 million order with Pinnacle Systems to upgrade its tape-based facilities with Pinnacle's all-digital networked news systems. The networked broadcast system will be deployed at GTN's main news facilities in Toronto and Vancouver.
Global News is installing a mix of Pinnacle equipment, including Liquid Edition systems for craft and field editing, Palladium Store shared storage and Vortex I/O for ingest and playout. The Vortex server will make ingested video material available to users on the network for browsing, editing, creating on-air promotions and playing out to air.
