Pixel Brothers shoots for Google AdWords
Chicago-based production company Pixel Brothers recently has expanded its facility to 12,000sq ft with 12 fully equipped HD/SD edit suites.
Another important part of the expansion was an investment in Panasonic’s AJ-HPX2000 2/3in shoulder-mounted P2 HD camcorder and AG-HVX200 P2 HD camcorder. The company has used both in a number of high-profile projects.
Last fall, Google chose Pixel Brothers as one of a handful of companies for a beta test project for its AdWords program, which lets clients advertise via keyword-targeted ads.
The test allows chosen companies to offer broadcast television commercial production directly to AdWords clients through the Google Ad Creation Marketplace. Pixel Brothers has already shot an AdWords spot for eHealth.com with the HPX2000.
Pixel Brothers has also shot corporate video footage at Chicago’s Wrigley Building with two HPX2000s. Wrigley has repurposed the video, shot at night with the building illuminated as the backdrop to a light show, for a variety of platforms commemorating the company’s $5 billion in annual sales.
The production company is currently posting two additional projects shot with the HPX2000, a patient exit video for the University of Illinois Media Center (with B-roll shot with the HVX200) and Web videos for the cardiovascular department of Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Upcoming HPX2000 projects include a corporate documentary shot for a national weight loss program.
