Pixel Power to reduce cost of HD graphics at IBC2006
Pixel Power will use IBC2006 to launch lower cost entry-level and pro-AV variations of its Clarity family of SD/HD hybrid graphics systems.
The graphics manufacturer is set to introduce the Clarity 2000 SD/HD entry-level switchable-format character generator (CG), the Clarity 50 for smaller broadcasters and AV installations, and the low-cost Clarity LoGo for branding and logos.
Pixel Power said the Clarity2000 offers a rich, easy-to-use feature set with full HD capabilities for the smaller broadcaster and production facility.
Also slated for IBC introduction is a Clarity HD/SD series option for real-time 3-D animation with parametric control of elements, lighting and moves. This provides the 3-D animation capability of dedicated 3-D systems with no 3-D experience necessary. With the 3-D option, Clarity also imports complex 3-D models, including Autodesk 3-DS formats, for editing and animation with user-defined key-frames.
Clarity 50 is a cost-effective broadcast and production character generator that can be fully automated for news and data-based displays. Clarity LoGo incorporates SD and HD, including multiple layers of static and animated logos, clocks and crawls. It can be triggered via GPI, serial or Ethernet TCP/IP based automation protocols.
