Pixelmetrix has introduced VISUALmpeg, a complete product family of analysis tools for evaluating and testing MPEG-based advanced coding.
Versions are available for MPEG-1, MPEG-2 and the latest coding technology, H.264 —also known as MPEG-4 Part 10. All MPEG parameters are extracted and displayed in a clear and easy-to-understand format while allowing users to drill down to all areas of the MPEG stream.
VISUALmpeg requires a PC with standard Windows software for full and detailed analysis. It breaks down and inspects all aspects of MPEG coding including bit rate, macro blocks, and motion vectors. Evaluation of picture quality is also available as a product option.
