PLAZAMEDIA, a Germany-based provider of sports and media productions, has commissioned Blue Order to set up and continuously develop a multi-user platform for the digital archiving and distribution of its productions. The goal is to develop a fully integrated, cross-departmental tapeless workflow.
The first stage, which will use Media Archive 3.2 to interface independent production islands, will be completed this spring. At the end of the project, PLAZAMEDIA will have a fully integrated, cross-departmental file workflow.
Using Media Archive, PLAZAMEDIA will manage all its processes, including tracking metadata from recording through to delivery to the individual distribution channels and both high- and low-resolution video files. Media Archive also serves as a core platform for the operation of various third-party systems in the video production chain.
