Powell Outlines FCC's Fall Resolutions

published In a continuing effort to mitigate the outcry over media ownership, the first of FCC Chairman Michael Powell's public hearings on media ownership and diversity is expected to be scheduled this month. The commissioners will be receiving their Notice of Inquiry on these hearing this week, an FCC spokesman said. In other broadcast issues, the agency is expected to act on the broadcast flag at its regular meeting Oct. 16; and Powell said digital must-carry would be resolved this fall.
