Pro-Bel, a division of Chyron, has unveiled COSMOS 2, the latest advancement in facility-wide workflow operation.
COSMOS 2 is the next generation of Pro-Bel’s configuration and status monitoring system. Key new features introduced in this version are a flexible multi-user capability, enhanced alarm marking and reporting, and support for wide area networks.
The ability to work with COSMOS is being rolled out across Pro-Bel’s entire product line. COSMOS brings together status and alerts in a complete system rather than being restricted to a particular product area.
COSMOS 2 provides comprehensive reporting to external systems or to operators, and instant alerts can be generated as network messages in XML to an SMS message sent directly to an engineer’s mobile phone.
For a more detailed analysis of a system’s operation, all information is logged into an industry-standard SQL database allowing the data to be analyzed using standard reporting tools.
The new wide area network feature of COSMOS 2 extends these capabilities to work across multiple locations.
