Public service commission green lights FiOS TV plan for New York City

published The New York State Public Service Commission (PSC) confirmed the agreement between Verizon and New York City July 16 for Verizon to provide TV service via its fiber-optic FiOS TV network to all five boroughs of the city.
The confirmation follows an agreement on April 29 by the city's Department of Information Technology and Telecommunications to accept the Verizon proposal, and May 27 approval by the city's Franchise and Concession Review Committee. The PSC confirmation is the final governmental and regulatory step required.
