Quincy Newspapers Updates Nine Stations with Avid Gear
Quincy Newspapers (QNI) will update nine stations with Avid non-linear news production gear.
Nine out of 10 stations will be standardized when they undergo digital broadcast conversions with Avid non-linear editing technology. With this deal, Avid now has more than 200 conversions to its credit.
QNI stations converting to Avid include WQOW, Eau Claire, WI; WAOW, Wausau, WI; WXOW, La Crosse, WI; WREX, Rockford, IL; WGEM, Quincy, IL; WSJV, South Bend, IN; WVVA, Bluefield, WV; KTIV, Sioux City, IA; and KTTC, Rochester, MN. QNI will install the Avid Unity LANshare for News system, combined with products such as AirSpeed, NewsCutter XP, iNEWS, Avid MediaManager, and iNEWS ControlAir.
The implementation is expected to be complete by Q1 2006.
