QuVIS to launch new staging servers at NAB2004
QuVIS, a provider of digital motion imaging technology, will introduce three new lines of video servers at NAB2004 that support the playback of 2K and 4K data as well as today’s HD formats.
The new servers address the increasing needs of the post-production, digital cinema, presentation and rental and staging communities. In addition to displaying the QuBit ST and DS digital disk player/recorders, the company will introduce the new QuVIS Studio Series, QuVIS Presentation Series and QuVIS Cinema Series of products.
The new generation of servers employs Quality Priority Encoding (QPE) architecture, a patented process that QuVIS says gives its products a reputation for unsurpassed image quality in the digital display and post-production arenas.
These systems provide visually lossless and highly efficient imagery plus 12 independent channels of digital audio. Standard and custom formats range from NTSC, PAL and HD through 4K Academy. The storage provides practical options for electronic transfer and storage of high-resolution images.
