RadioShack CEO Resigns
RadioShack said its president/CEO has resigned.
David Edmondson had come under scrutiny because of questions about the accuracy of his resume, AP reported. The board promoted Claire Babrowski, executive vice president and chief operating officer, to acting CEO.
It's been a tough few days for the company, which on Friday said fourth-quarter earnings fell 62 percent and announced it will close 400 to 700 stores and two distribution centers, as we previously reported.
Edmondson joined RadioShack in 1994 and has been CEO since May. AP said he is also scheduled to stand trial in Texas in April on charges of driving while intoxicated.
