Panasonic introduces touch-screen capabilities for plasma displays
Panasonic Broadcast's new touch panel modules
Panasonic Broadcast's new touch panel modules for its professional 42- and 50-inch plasma displays are now available. The TY-TP42P6S is the touch panel module for the 42-inch TH-42PWD6UY and TH-42PHD6UY plasma displays, and the TY-TP50P6S is the touch panel for the 50-inch TH-50PHD6UY plasma display. These add-on touch panels allow users to interact directly with the screen via a touch of a finger. The lightweight (TY-TP42P6S: 7.7 pounds, TY-TP50P6S: 9.3l pounds), robust aluminum touch panel modules are equipped with an optical sensor system. These modules offer super-fine resolution (TY-TP42P6S: 1833x1033 pixels, TY-TP50P6S: 2201x1241 pixels), a high scanning speed and stable, light-touch operation. The modules’ thin design allows for a precise fit with the plasma displays. The modules require no additional screen to be overlaid on top of the plasma display, thus causing no image quality deterioration. In addition, for finger-touch operation, the TY-TPEN6 touch pen will be available as an optional accessory. For more info: www.panasonic.com/plasma.
