The Dallas-based animation facility purchased 57,000ft of Gepco’s VSD2001 HD coax cables.
Reel FX, a creative studio specializing in animation and visual effects for entertainment and commercial production, recently purchased Gepco cables to wire its new Dallas facility.
Reel FX purchased 57,000ft of VSD2001 high-definition coax cables; 1000ft of MP1201 microphone cables and 5000ft of DS604 high-bandwidth AES/EBU digital audio multi-pair. Gepco also supplied the studios’ microphone cables, RGB component video snakes, and 8-channel D-Sub 25pin 110ohm AES/EBU multi-pin breakout cables.
The new 74,000sq ft facility includes several animation machines, render farms and recording studios with HD surround sound capability. The facility is using Gepco cables in the master control center, which is connected throughout the entire building, including the visual effects and animation suites and recording studios.
