Rehr: I Know How to Lobby, Will Aggressively Promote Broadcast
David Rehr, recently chosen to head the NAB, pledged to promote broadcasters' interest aggressively on the Hill and at the FCC.
According to a summary released by NAB, in meeting with board members Rehr stated, "I know how to make a message simple to communicate with a busy policymaker; I know how to form lasting relationships with members of Congress and ask for support when I need it."
He vowed to "increase the proposition value" for NAB members during his tenure and seek guidance from broadcasters as well as travel to meet with local station operators and state association executives.
