At IBC2006, Riedel Communications will make the European debut of the Connect IP and Connect Solo intercom interfaces for the worldwide broadcast, pro-audio, event, sport and theater markets.
The 19in/1RU Connect IP provides intelligent and seamless intercom interfacing to IP-based networks. It allows for matrix-to-matrix connections from matrix to control panel, and distribution of audio lines over IP.
The interface converts one AES3 stream and can be configured to individual bandwidth needs, providing combination of audio quality and low-network traffic. The bandwidth is scalable with audio quality up to 20kHz at 230Kb/s.
Connect Solo is a single-device solution for hassle-free connection of intercom systems to the public telephone network. Combining two analog POTS telephone hybrids in one half-rack unit, the compact system is designed for easy installation in studio and mobile applications, and allows for two simultaneous connections. Connect Solo integrates with Riedel’s Artist matrix.
