Rogue Element Films receives Sony F35 CineAlta camera
Independent digital cinematography specialist Rogue Element Films received the Sony F35 CineAlta camera at IBC2008; German distributor BandPro Munich sold the camera.
Rogue Element Films will offer the F35 in both its native SR capture format and converted-to-uncompressed DPX digital negative data.
The flagship Sony F35 CineAlta camera features include S-LOG image capturing of a digital negative as well as the ability to capture 50P 4:4:4 HD RGB images in slow motion and in real-time. The F35 features a ramping technique for live in-camera speed changes, making it a valuable production tool.
With increased sensitivity and dynamic range (14 stops) aligned with 35mm lenses, the digital film camera brings together not only build quality but also film-style support and power.
