RTL purchases seven Stagetec AURATUS desks
French private radio broadcaster RTL has ordered seven AURATUS digital mixing consoles from Berlin-based manufacturer Salzbrenner Stagetec Mediagroup.
Installation of the new desks will be carried out over 24 months. The sale is part of an overall revamp of the studios in the RTL Paris broadcasting center, replacing older digital consoles with Stagetec’s broadcast model. The AURATUS consoles will integrate easily into the broadcaster’s existing audio network, a fully redundant Stagetec NEXUS routing system installed in the past two years.
For RTL, the technical advantages of the modular AURATUS console are complemented by its fulfillment of a unique user requirement. Because all the studios will be equipped with u-shaped furniture, RTL wanted its new mixing desks to adapt to this form. Thus, the mixers will be supplied in split-console format, with separate fader modules arranged on either side of the central section. All modules will be seamlessly connected via a single-cable bus system.
