Russian broadcaster airs sports with SeaChange system
TV Centre, a Moscow-based broadcaster serving more than 96 million people in 79 regions of Russia, has installed a new SeaChange digital video system for playout of sports, news and entertainment programming.
TV Centre, a free-to-air channel owned by the city of Moscow, joins other Russian broadcasters including Expert TV, Kultura TV and St. Petersburg TV that are using SeaChange BML servers and MCL codecs. Designed to support a wide range of automation and asset management systems, the SeaChange platform at TV Centre is working in a new file-based workflow.
SeaChange’s longtime regional partner in Russia, systems integrator I.S.P.A., provides local support to TV Centre.
SeaChange demonstrated its content storage, streaming and management solutions, including its flash memory-based ingest and play-to-air server and its latest Broadcast MediaLibrary/Broadcast MediaClient play-to-air storage system and SD/HD software codecs, at NAB2009.
