Electronics manufacturer Samsung selected the Tektronix VM5000 Automated Video Measurement Set to measure its HD/SD video signals.
The VM5000 facilitates the design of next-generation digital set-top boxes, video semiconductors, integrated HDTV tuners/decoders, progressive scan DVD players and gaming consoles. It identifies common component signal impairments, ensures operability with connected display devices, and reliably assesses video parameters proven to correlate with video signal fidelity.
"Tektronix VM5000 is a natural solution as it is easy for all our technicians to use, and more importantly, it provides the most reliable and stable monitoring capabilities," said Chang-Won Kim, senior engineer of telecommunication R&D center for Samsung.
