Integral Systems' SAT subsidiary announced that it delivered a MonicsNet Satellite Carrier Monitoring site to SES Astra, extending its MonicsNet network. MonicsNet allows SES Astra to automatically monitor signals from Astra's satellites using SAT's DSP technology, which takes a fraction of the time necessary when using a spectrum analyzer.
SAT has provided similar systems to satellite operators worldwide including SES Americom, New Skies Satellites, Loral Sky net, Hispasat, SATMEX and Hellasat. The firm demonstrated the technology at NAB2006 in Las Vegas.
