Satellite Update
The FCC reinstated EchoStar's application for authority to cease operation of EchoStar 4 at the 157 degree West Longitude (WL) orbital location for more than 90 days, in connection with the relocation of EchoStar 4 to the 77 degree WL location. It set a deadline of Aug. 26, 2005 for petitions or comments regarding this application, a deadline of Sept. 5, 2005 for oppositions to these petitions or comments and a deadline of Sept. 10, 2005 for replies to these oppositions. The FCC issued an Erratum to the DirecTV 1 and DirecTV 5 relocation Order and Authorization. The Erratum does not change any technical parameters of the Order and Authorization.
